As from May 25, 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) applies.
From that date, the same privacy legislation applies throughout the European Union (EU).
The Platform has personal details of its members in a membership administration. This information is provided by the member himself to the Platform or by his / her employer with the aim of becoming a member of the Platform. This membership administration is maintained by the secretariat of the Platform.
Which personal data is processed by the Platform
The Platform has processed the following data in its membership administration:
- Name of the member
- Member's job title
- Email address of the member at his / her employer
- Name and address details of the employer
- Billing details to the employer (including email address / PO number)
- The date on which the member took the formal exam for Certified Formalities Officer with the aim of retaining the number of certified and non-certified members.
Purpose for the use of personal data
Personal data are used for mailings about the various activities organized by the Platform, such as master classes, members' meetings, exams and graduation ceremonies. A newsletter is also sent by email several times a year. The list of members is also shared with the treasurer of the Platform for the purpose of sending the invoice for membership.
The Platform does not pass on personal information to third parties, unless this is required by law. In addition, the Platform attaches great value to the protection of personal data and makes every effort to adequately protect personal data against expected risks.
If a member of the Platform deregisters, the Platform will remove his / her contact details from the members list within a few days and no more mailings will be sent.
